The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA might be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it's alarmed in regards to the substantial variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day. The assistance point developed for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all customers and boost entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
